Imparatus is a tabletop tactical war game centered around naval combat between massive capitol ships. Players command a fleet of ships of their choosing, selecting from multiple factions and then building their fleet with the only restriction being that their foe has a fleet of equal caliber to match. Each vessel has an ability to help it overcome the opposition.
Once your fleet is constructed, you will have a set of commanders to pick from, each carrying thier own selection of special abilities to turn the tide of combat, as well as a passive that changes the playstyle of a fleet entirely. Your objective is to destroy the enemy flagship, a heavily armored warship at the core of each fleet.
Imparatus is a science fiction fantasy universe focusing on large scale action and deep scientific and spiritual themes. Imparatus takes place around an entire universe spanning multiple galaxies and covers thousands of years of events. The story changes dramatically over time as factions rise and fall, races are born or go extinct, and wars begin and end.
The world of Imparatus consists of a galaxy made of four actively colliding galaxies, called regions. The universe has known only peace until the Ultramego Empire, hailing from the Kazgyte region, revealed that they had been conquering it over thousands of years and had set their sights on the rest of the known universe. With the resources of an entire region at their disposal, no system stood a chance.
However, a mysterious warrior named Findal, hailing from a race thought to be extinct for millions of years, rallied the armies of the largest and most powerful races of the three remaining regions and formed the Sentient Alliance, a union of worlds to oppose the Ultramego Conquest.

Led by a mysterious warrior hailing from an ancient, long extinct species named Findal, the Alliance aims to not only repel the invasion of Taria, but to liberate the Kazgyte region and put an end to the conquest of the Ultramegos.

A species as mysterious as they are numerous, Ultramegos aim to bring order and control to a universe in constant entropy. Little is known of their leader, but legends say they are a God whose spirit was cast from heaven.
